Hello, I'm the artist for the animations and scenes here. I FINALLY GOT THE 2ND ENDING OMG. IT TOOK ME SO SO SO SO MANY TRIALS JUST TO GET IT, but it's worth it. 50 TRIALS, HELP ME. IM SCARED
Thank you so much for playing our game! We're really happy to hear that you enjoyed it.
As for the second minigame... yeah, we totally understand your pain. 😭 Even during development, it gave us a lot of suffering too!
Looking back, though, that frustrating difficulty was actually part of the experience we wanted to create. It helps players feel a bit of the anger and desperation of the man trapped in the endless loop. And honestly, the feeling when you finally beat it is incredibly satisfying.
So don't give up just yet! We believe you can overcome the challenge and unlock the second ending. 💪
Thanks again for playing and for loving our game. Your support means a lot to us! ❤️
first! i'm sure i told you already, but i really enjoy this premise for a puzzle game! i know you made a joke about comparing it to Twelve Minutes, but i think there's something very unique and fun about a time-loop puzzle game where you're only given about 10 seconds to make a decision. i also like that you're required to be shot by the killer at least once to piece together what's going on and how to solve it, it forces the player to pay close attention to their surroundings to come up with a solution. i always like a game that makes a player experiment to find solutions, so the fact that a lot of the props in the room don't seem to do anything adds to the futility of the situation as well.
i and another player have already said that it was difficult putting together the solution for the final puzzle before the confrontation, so my suggestion for that was to perhaps add a hint somewhere in the room, like changing the description of the photo on the desk (for example, making it a description of a person having a rug pulled out from under them).
i like that the minigame for wrestling the gun out of the killer's hands is impossible to win, too! it reminded me of Your Turn To Die, tricking the player into engaging with a mechanic for something that's ultimately impossible to win... however, the graphics of the two space bars being rapidly clicked made me assume i had to mash the space key in order to stay in the bar, when in actuality i merely had to hold it lol. i think that may have also tripped me up on the first gun dodging QTE, as i pressed the space bar too early.
speaking of which, i love the idea of there being 2 endings, but the second one being nearly impossible to find! i tried 5 times in a row to get it (i was 1 miss away!) before i realized the timing and size of the cues was completely randomized...so even if it is possible, it feels futile, which i think definitely works with the themes of the original AMV.
the graphics were very cute too, i loved the little animations at the end, and the use of mixed-media with real stop motion of your hands was so cool to look at! i really like this game and i hope others play and enjoy it too :]
There are lots of things you pointed out that really make me surprised and go "WOAH" hehe. I used to play YTTD once! Maybe I should continue it.
I'm very aware of the circle things and the blanket too! It is hard for those who haven't watched the MV yet to figure it out based on very little things such as how insignificantly it can easily be ignored at first nor that you can use the drop button. These will be taken into consideration for sure.
I wish you the best with the timing to get the secret ending! THE DAMNED ENDING.
Thanks for your compliment on the graphics! I really appreciate it! There are many poses, perspective, things that I tried for the first time. It is fun, tho it might not be perfect! But its a great experience after all. My hands are manually put together as sprites haha xD
